Venturi Scrubber

Venturi scrubbers are an effective way of entraining soot and particulates in a gas stream. Venturi scrubbers are fed a water mist that mixes with the particulates and aglomerates on the sides of the cyclone from the centrifugal forces of the scrubber before washing down. The effectiveness of the filter depends on the method of water delivery and sizing of the throat. As the cleaning effectiveness goes up so does the pressure drop. In most applications venturi scrubbers perform an intermediate level of filtration where soot must be greatly reduced and tars may be present and reduced.

Since each application is different, we provide venturi’s on a custom basis only. Send us your schematics or we can design a unit for your needs for a $100 design fee and then the fabrication costs.
